Rate Filing Notice

At Health Net, we're committed to helping protect our members' health and doing what we can to keep coverage affordable. We do our best to evaluate and manage administrative expenses and negotiate fair rates with our contracted medical providers so that we can keep our rates as reasonable as possible.

However, we are impacted by costs that cannot be avoided. The cost of new medical technology and higher prescription drug costs are just some of these cost factors. As a result, it is sometimes necessary to increase our premium rates.

We have submitted rate filings to the State of California for review. Members who will be affected by a rate increase will receive detailed information in the mail. Also, California and federal law require us to post certain rate information on our website.
